During June we welcomed Jemma, our new Deputy Manager. Jemma brings many years of experience with her to Bearwood. She is settling into her new role well and getting on great with our residents.
We’d like to thank everyone who supported us during June, it’s been a very busy but extremely enjoyable month.
Our home held our annual summer fair, where the residents and visitors enjoyed a lovely day in the sun filled with games, laughter and some yummy summer fair food.
With your help the home managed to raise £495 towards the residents’ fund for future events and activities.
We would like to say a special thank you to all family, friends and staff that provided cakes, donations and time to help this event be as successful as it was.
Staff and residents also shared a very special lunch, in memory of a well-loved resident who recently passed away.
Upcoming this month
- Manicures
- Haircare
- Barbers
- Daily Arm Chair Exercises Held in our main lounge

- This month we are focusing on our past experiences and core memories. We will spend time in groups discussing things we can all remember and that make us happy.
Also making a return in this upcoming month is ‘staff member of the month’
